"Old women, I do not know who you are" said Malin Kundang at his mother. Arrogantly, Malin immediately released her mother's arms and pushed him up to fall. Missed so much, she hug his son and asked "Malin Kundang, my son, why did you go so long without sending any news to me?". She is now convinced that Malin is her son. Once close enough, his mother saw the birthmarks on Malin kundangs arm. Malin Kundang stepped down from the ship. She founds out that he is her son Malin kundang. Malin's mother who always checks every ship that arrived, hoping there is his son among the passenger, surprised to see a man. She saw a very beautiful ship landed on the town harbour. In the other side, poor Malin kundang mothers was worried about his son, and goes to the beach everyday, hope that her son will be back from the journey. After becoming rich, Malin Kundang marry a girl to become his wife.Īfter a long marriage, Malin and his wife make the voyage with a large and beautiful ship with the crew and a lot of bodyguards. He has many fruit merchant ships with the children of more than 100 people.
With tenacity and perseverance in work, over time Malin had become a very rich. Malin village where villagers stranded is very fertile. Malin studied hard on his friends shipping on more experienced, and ultimately he's very good at shipping. Above all, this dissertation is a plea for a more thorough study of the role of proximity in the production, dissemination and reception of local television programmes.During his stay on the ship, Malin kundang lot to learn about seamanship on the crew that has been experienced. Three main themes structure the study: representing tradition, localizing persuasion and mediating the local. These issues have been put into the framework of discursive practices about local, national and global cultures in the electronic audiovisual media in Indonesia. Performance in Javanese has been used by the Indonesian television industry to achieve various purposes: to entertain and inform its audiences, to represent the local/the regional, to preserve and nurture the traditional and to build national culture, for persuasive (commercial or propaganda) aims, as a counter-voice of diversification towards global or Jakartan influences, and to express multiculturalism. Central is the question of how people make use of national, regional, local, public and private television in Indonesia – each in their own way and with their own goals – to represent the local and, in particular, how they construct images of Javaneseness through the production and dissemination of performance.
